Our course(s) starts from the basic knowledge of PLC as we have different candidates coming from different backgrounds with varied experiences in the field of Automation Industry to guide the trainees throughout the course and we need to start from a common ground.

The course will comprise PLCs like Allen Bradley, Schneider, Ge Fanuc, Delta Automation and Siemens.

Application based Case Studies and troubleshooting will be taken to make the short course truly beneficial.

The sharing of experience and ideas amongst participants helps in increasing the knowledge of individuals.

Syllabus Details

Module 1 - PLC Details:

History of PLC, difference between relay, contactor & PLC logic, PLC architecture. A detail description of different PLC modules & cards. Industrial electrical wiring concepts.

Module 2 - I/O configuration & Memory Mapping:

Why I/O configuration is required? How the I/O modules are addressed for Allen Bradely , Schneider, Ge Fanuc, Delta Automation and Siemens PLC's.

Module 3 - Programms & Ladder diagrams:

First steps with the programming device, introducing the basic ladder logic instructions, contacts, coils, and PLC scan.

Module 4 - The Instruction Set:

A look at the instructions covered in all the PLC.Each instruction being illustrated by application specific program examples. The instructions covered are:- NO/NC, Set, Reset, Timers, Counters, Comparison, Arithmetic, Logical & Move functions.

Module 5 - Details:

Interfacing with PLC and simulation of PLC application in SCADA. Allen Bradely (Rs View 32), Schneider (Vijeo Citect), Ge Fanuc (Cimplicity), Delta Automation (DOPSoft) and Siemens (WINCC Flexible) SCADA's are covered.

Module 6 - Details:

Communications & fault finding, An introduction to communication options available as per the type of PLC. Also to do troubleshooting for hardware faults and its probable causes.

Module 7 - Details:

Introduction to MMI, its importance, operation details and fundamentals of MMI, fault display in MMI, timer counter setting from MMI. Interfacing with PLC.

Module 8 - Details:

Basics of different cables used in PLC networking, Functionality of gateway, Configuration & establishment of Connectivity, Communication with External devices/third party.

Module 9 - Details:

Fundamentals of AC Drive, block diagram of AC drive, configuration of different drives. Control of drive with and without PLC, Various applications of AC Drive. Interfacing with PLC.
